Meet Dr. Kristin Bass at the NARST Annual International Conference March 31st-April 3rd, 2019 in Baltimore, MD.

Kristin is a co-author on two presentations with the Genetic Science Learning Center (University of Utah): “Student Results from Five Years of Testing a New NGSS Evolution Unit That Integrates Heredity” (a poster on Monday, April 1st from 4:15-5:15PM) and “Developing High School Biology Curriculum Materials that Support NGSS Teaching and Learning: Opportunities and Challenges” (a paper on Monday, April 1st from 10:15-11:45AM, in Baltimore B).

Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) Biennial Conference

Meet Camellia Sanford-Dolly at the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) conference in Baltimore, MD March 21st – 23rd.

Camellia will participate in a Conversation Roundtable, “Diverse Approaches to Measuring Family Engagement Strategies and Outcomes in Early Childhood Education Settings,” on March 23rd from 2:30-4:00PM at the Hilton Baltimore, Key 7, and in an Exchange Symposium, “Social-Emotional Learning in the Context of Mathematical Engagement in Preschool Classrooms,” on March 23rd from 4:15-5:45PM at the Hilton Baltimore, Key 12.

Citizen Science Association (CSA) Biennial Conference

Meet Camellia Sanford-Dolly at the Citizen Science Association (CSA) Biennial Conference in Raleigh, NC March 13th-March 17th.

Camellia will be presenting a poster, “Impacts of an Online Macroinvertebrates Observation & Identification Tool on Volunteers’ Accuracy & Confidence in Water Quality Biomonitoring & Training,” on Thursday, March 14th from 4:45-6:45PM in the RCC Ballroom. The poster describes findings from an NSF-funded project with co-authors, Marti Louw and Jessica Roberts from Carnegie Mellon University.

Camellia will also be giving a talk, “Turning Viewers Into Doers: The Role of Broadcast & Digital Media in Empowering Individuals to Engage With Citizen Science,” in the session, “Evaluation (Motivation & Engagement)” on Saturday, March 16th from 1:30 to 3:00PM in RCC 402.
