Citizen Science Association Conference
Meet Camellia at the Citizen Science Association Conference, May 17th-20th, in St. Paul, MN. She will be co-presenting a workshop, “What is Your Impact? Learn to Evaluate Your Citizen Science Project” on May 17th from 1-4PM. Camellia will also be participating in the Project Slam Session on May 18th from 5:30-7:30PM, sharing formative evaluation findings from the “Learning to See, Seeing to Learn” project.
AERA: “Observational Methodologies across Informal Learning Spaces”
Meet Julia Li at AERA 2017 presenting on different types of observational methods in informal learning spaces from 10:35a-12:05p on Saturday, April 29th in room 221 D (meeting room level). Julia will be presenting in a panel on observational methodologies organized by Aaron Price. Her paper with Jennifer Borland is entitled “BEAM me up! Meet Adam, Alex, Scott, and Kristin at the AERA 2017 Annual Meeting, April 27- May 1, 2017, in San Antonio, TX. Multiple researchers at Rockman, along with Prof. Chris Dede, Prof. Kathleen Tyner, and practitioners at Youth Radio, Black Girls Code, and Technovation, will lead a symposium, “Teaching STEM and Data Science Both In and Out of Schools.”
