Meet Nisaa Kirtman and Alex Gurn at the State of Black Health annual conference, hosted by our partners, the Center for Black Health and Equity, in Charlotte, North Carolina, from September 15th-18th. Alongside colleagues, Drs. Ayesha Boyce, Michelle Rosenthal, and LaShaune Johnson, Nisaa, and Alex will evaluate the impact of the conference via survey and observations, and also facilitate a 2-hour public health clinic at the conference entitled, “From Stories to Strategy: Funding Your Future through CREE.” This hands-on clinic will unpack how to center community voice, equity, and lived experience in every phase of your evaluation. Participants will learn how to amplify their stories and impact as a crucial step toward increasing visibility, attracting funding, and achieving long-term sustainability.
