Christopher is a Research Associate from a very diverse background with years of experience
as an applied researcher in formal and informal educational settings. His years of research have
shaped his interests in community partnerships and community-engaged research, specifically,
the influences and impacts associated with university-community partnerships with Black
communities. Before joining Rockman, he worked as a Research Assistant at the University of
South Florida, where he collaborated on various critically centered research projects, including
constructing and validating an instrument designed to measure educators perceived knowledge,
beliefs, and mindsets regarding equity in education. Christopher earned his Bachelor’s degree
in Criminology from Slippery Rock University and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy
from the University of South Florida. Outside of work, he enjoys walking his dog, Arlo, going to
the beach, and working out.
