Havenscourt Salad Bar Evaluation REA conducted an evaluation of the impact of a salad bar implementation at the Havenscourt Middle School complex in the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD). Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Evaluation Rockman et al conducted an evaluation of the Science and Health Education Partnership’s (SEP), SF Science program. SF Science is SEP's professional learning community (PLC) program. Safety First The Safety First Project, funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education: Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools, was designed to assess and improve the readiness of the Berkeley County, West Virginia Schools and the local community to respond, post 9/11, to emergencies and manage crises. Salad Bar Program Evaluation for Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) In Fall 2008, Rockman conducted a year long study of the impact of school salad bars in the Oakland (California) Unified School District. The study was funded by a grant from the S.D. Bechtel Jr. Foundation.
