Evaluation of the Student Friendly Services Web Site

« back

The Intersegmental Coordinating Committee (ICC) contracted with Rockman et al to perform an in-depth assessment of the Student Friendly Services (SFS) Web site. The goals of the study were to give the ICC insights about users’ thoughts and opinions on the site’s navigation, appeal, content, and application in order to inform decisions on improving the site, attracting new users, and meeting the needs of current users. Rockman gathered feedback on key aspects of the site from more than 200 target audience members (students, parents, and educators).

Rockman conducted both quantitative and qualitative data collection activities, including focus groups throughout the state of California, think-aloud sessions (in which one or two participants at a time explore or complete tasks on the Web site while talking about the thinking processes that underlie their selection or choices), and an online survey.
