Technology Roadmap

« back

At the request of a multi-campus independent school, REA explored how schools could best use the growing technology resources spread over the several campuses. We created a roadmap for the application of technology to support teaching, learning, and management. The school has a long history of rigorous academics, innovation and support for high-quality teaching; it has also made a significant investment in classroom technology and infrastructure. Technology is used differently on each campus, so no single solution would suffice. Through interviews with administrators and staff, and a review of the literature, REA developed a series of recommended instructional and institutional best practice areas in which technology could play a significant role. The elements included strategies that could maintain a high level of student academic performance, that could redefine the nature of schoolwork, that would provide skills for the future, and that would help accomplish the administrative and instructional work of the schools.
