Science and Math in Spanish-language Media

« back

The Science and Math in Spanish-language Media Project brought standards-based science and math activities into the homes of Latino communities traditionally underserved by science centers. The partnership consisted of LHS and New California Media (NCM), an association of 500 ethnic media organizations serving California's 17 million ethnic residents, and the Children’s Museum of Houston. The project’s math challenges and science experiments presented in the form of educational cartoons, already field-tested by LHS, focused on various content strands including number and operations, algebra, geometry, science as inquiry, and unifying concepts and processes in science and mathematics.
